ONG Ranita de Darwin Annual Report

Since its founding in 2015, ONG Ranita de Darwin became the first Chilean non-profit organisation dedicated exclusively to the conservation, research, and dissemination of knowledge about Chile's amphibians and their habitats. Ten years on, that founding purpose remains our guiding compass. The year 2025 represented one of the most active periods in the organisation's history. With a clear mission — to contribute to the country's natural heritage by caring for amphibians and the forest through research and collaborative conservation with communities and institutions — we faced a year of intense work, profound learning, and achievements we are proud of. During this period we implemented large-scale fieldwork projects, strengthened partnerships with multiple organisations, and contributed to capacity building amongst conservation professionals. We made significant progress in strategic planning for amphibian conservation with a multisectoral approach, and achieved relevant milestones in the knowledge and protection of Darwin's frogs. On the institutional front, the year was marked by substantial progress in our strategic planning and organisational strengthening, laying solid foundations for the challenges ahead. Everything we do is guided by the values that define us: collaboration, inspiration, integrity, and transparency.
